Herd Thyme
ABOUT
Set in the beautiful rolling hills of Wiltshire, just outside Marlborough, Herd Thyme is a Registered Alternative Provider with Wiltshire County Council offering a variety of activities such as Equine Assisted Learning with qualified practitioners, therapeutic bareback riding, bushcrafts, nature based mindfulness and sensory regulation.
Students can also gain qualifications in Animal Care, with City and Guilds Awards, Certificates and Diplomas in Levels 1 to 3. We also offer Entry Level 3, Level 1, and Level 2 in Functional Maths and English, and support students with their GCSE's through our tutoring programme.
Our animals, which include horses, goats, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and our emotional support dogs Mabel and Otto, are all here to help our students learn and grow.
Herd Thyme offers a safe space where our students can learn, grow, and form meaningful relationships with our animals and carry those skills to the outside world.
Our sessions are tailored to each individual student’s needs and are designed to build trust, self-confidence, social/relationship skills, emotional resiliance, self regulation and communication skills.
